Re: Today I Found Out About Clvin & Hobbes

Always one of my favorites, even though there are no new ones to feed my addiction. LOL I just keep reading the old ones over and over again, and enjoying them just as much as the first time... and often getting fresh perspectives each time. I think Watterson was brilliant, whether deliberately or a...

Re: need a computer repair shop

The only one that I have had any experience with (good), is LB Computers, 811 E Prien Lake Rd, (337) 474-9744. I have always done my own repairs, for myself, family friends, and a few others. Several members of the club do repairs, and if you come to our next meeting we may be able to guide you thro...

Winter Games

Re: Internet Speed Test

Interesting find. I am currently downloading 3 large files, but decided to try it anyway -- and yea, I know that ain't a good idea. I am also running behind multiple layers of security, including a VPN, all of which certainly diminish the theoretical speed that I "COULD" achieve, IF ...

Re: Darn! Once Again I'm Not the Best

I have used Avast on all my computers for several years, but have considered BitDefender. If I ever feel the need to switch, that is at the top of my very short list. I have tried EaseUS ToDo Backup Free, and agree that it is one of the better "FREE" options, but there was something I didn...

Re: A Facebook Rant

My Facebook advice is even simpler - I don't do Facebook, period.
Of course, she who must be obeyed is addicted, and I am constantly trying to teach FB safety,or cleaning up the minor (or major) disasters that result from not heeding my advice.

Re: Looking For A Job?

At first I was surprised, as I was pretty sure the largest employer in most states is the public school system, but then I read the actual title of the map: "Top Private Employers in each state".
